Are you an exceptional and experienced Group Financial Controller? Do you want to be instrumental in the ongoing growth of a dynamic property business?


This is a challenging, demanding and exciting role where you’ll be responsible for managing all aspects of the group’s business related financial matters. 


We’re not just looking for a fantastic Group Financial Controller, we’re looking for a top notch manager of people to take responsibility for the small but high calibre team here at The Property Hub. We have ambitious growth plans and your contribution will be critical to the success and speed of this.


You’ll be in your comfort zone liaising with a variety of stakeholders and have a proven track record of establishing new, and improving financial processes. Your knowledge of CIS will beneficial.

If that wasn’t enough, we’re also publishers of a quarterly magazine, have written a number of best-selling books, and hold more than 35 free events across the UK and internationally every single month. We’re also regularly featured in the national press.

Our people are our biggest asset, so you’ll be working with a cracking team out of our Manchester city centre office, just a 3-minute walk from Piccadilly train station. We’re right in the thick of all the action which makes commuting, shopping and eating out an absolute breeze.  


Reporting to the group Operations Director, you will have a wide and varied role which will include:


Planning and financial reporting

  • Preparation of monthly consolidated management accounts and submission of financial information for all companies, and at Group level

  • Preparing annual financial statements and managing the annual audit

  • Creating monthly and annual reports to identify results, trends, and financial forecasts

  • Develop budgets and financial plans for the Group


  • Ensuring cash flows are maintained and reported, reflecting any changes across all Group businesses

  • Review sales ledger, purchase ledger, payroll, cash posting and all general ledger entries

  • Handle VAT, PAYE and tax duties

  • Assisting with acquisition due diligence and integration

  • Take responsibility for ensuring that financial processes, systems, and controls are operating effectively

  • Project management of process changes and implementations

  • Examining all financial reports and data closely to check for discrepancies

  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory bodies that interface with our activities

  • Perform a key role in the budgeting, planning and forecasting for the business operation


  • Supervise and manage financial staff, ensuring they have both opportunity and capability to grow with the business


You’ll be qualified in practice and have demonstrable experience of managing the consolidated finances of a fast growing group across a wide variety of business types.

We’re highly ambitious and have some serious growth planned over the next few years, so you’ll have experience of working in a similar role across multiple businesses (and potentially sectors) as we plan to expand our business.

We’re very fast paced, so you’ll be able to work under pressure and prove it. You’ll be proactive, self motivated and able to make decisions with very little day-to-day guidance.

You’ll have a technically strong background (be up to date with Accounting Standards including the latest FRS102 and IFRS15) and have experience working at Financial Controller level.

Basis: Full-time - Permanent

Salary: £50,000 - £55,000 per annum dependant on experience
