Recruitment Adviser

Recruitment Adviser at The Property Hub

Would you like to make a significant contribution to a fast-growing business by recruiting top talent? Are you a people-person with recruitment experience?

If you answered “yes”, then we want to hear from you.

We’re looking for a stand-out Recruitment Advisor to join our amazing team. Our people are our biggest asset, so we’re looking for a true “people person” who can make our ambitions become a reality.

We’re a fast growing, dynamic group of property related businesses (spanning construction, sourcing, management, tax advice and finance). We provide free property education to hundreds of thousands of property investors every year. Our podcast has over 150,000 monthly listeners and has cemented itself as the UK’s most popular business podcast. There are also over 30,000 active members on our online community.

If that wasn’t enough, we’re also publishers of a quarterly magazine, have written a number of best-selling books, and hold more than 35 free events across the country every single month.

We’re also regularly featured in the national press.

You’ll be based at our pretty epic office in Manchester city centre, just a 3-minute walk from Piccadilly train station, and join a high achieving team of enthusiastic, ambitious and supportive property professionals. This is a great time to be joining us as we have some BIG plans on the horizon - all of which you get to be a part of! We pride ourselves on our outstanding processes, vibrant company culture, strong values and collaborative approach.

Reporting to the Head of People, you will be responsible for leading the recruitment function across the company and supporting every department. We’re a hands-on team, so we like to deal with our candidates directly. With this in mind, we’re looking for someone with a proven track record of direct recruitment.

Your duties and responsibilities will include:

  • Managing an efficient end-to-end recruitment process for various roles

  • Working alongside the HR Manager to manage the recruitment cycle

  • Utilising a variety of direct recruitment tools available; from direct approaches and traditional job boards to LinkedIn and other social media platforms. You’ll use these tools to identify and engage with candidates who have specific skill sets relevant to our roles and sharing the details of those identified with the HR Manager

  • Helping develop our brand and looking at new ways to improve the talent pool of candidates - you’ll also be active in keeping the potential pool of candidates warm and engaged

  • Liaising with Directors and Departmental Managers across the company to discuss recruitment

  • Drafting and advertising roles - working with the marketing team to make them sound as exciting as they actually are

  • Carrying out research to market map for roles and keeping information up to date

  • Working closely with the Head of People and HR Manager to understand the needs of the vacancy and to identify potential candidate leads

  • Drafting consultant agreements

  • Assisting with HR induction in Manchester

  • Interviewing, scheduling and coordination as required

  • Supporting the team on new recruitment initiatives

We’re looking for someone with a proven experience of working in a recruitment environment, either at an agency or in-house, along with experience of working within a professional services environment.

You’ll have a demonstrable track record of researching/sourcing direct candidates for all roles, regardless of level. The ability to use tools such as LinkedIn and other social media channels in a recruitment capacity is also a must.

Due to the nature of the role, you’ll have incredibly strong interpersonal skills and have the confidence to deal with people at all levels. This role involves arranging interviews, supporting hiring managers by attending those interviews and assisting the HR Manager with the employee onboarding process. And whilst we always prefer to recruit directly, there may be times when we use third party agencies, so prior experience of liaising and negotiating with other recruiters is highly desired.

A self-motivated person who works well independently is at the top of our list, along with a positive attitude which is in-line with our values here at The Property Hub. You’ll be able to prioritise your workload and have excellent attention to detail.

You will also have a full understanding and appreciation of maintaining the highest levels of confidentiality which goes hand-in-hand with this role.

There’s plenty of room for the right candidate to get stuck into wider recruitment and HR based projects across the team, so a “can-do” attitude is very much needed.
